LPI Tutor

Ok, the first thing I would have to say about my tutor is that she's so creepy. She reminds me so much of Ms. McGregor; I didn't like her that much, but that's not the only reason why she's creepy. She is SO pale. I now understand why so many people like to tan because it IS honestly creepy to approach someone as pale as my tutor. Not just that, the way that her skin is so pale makes her wrinkles stand out more, including the huge bags under her eyes. All in all, she was a pretty good tutor although all the stuff she taught me I have already learned in grade 8. In contrast, she told me to NOT do everything I had learned in grade 12.

She told me to list the three points of the body paragraph as my thesis. She told me not to use the complicated metaphors to make it sound all deep and stuff because in an academic essay they want it straight to the point and easy to understand. Well that's easy enough for me to do. The fact that LPI markers and College/University Professors are not looking for an interesting essay was the message that I got from my tutor. The tutor said that because LPI markers/professors have to read and mark so many essays, they prefer essays that are easy to read and understand.

So now, I have to throw away all the information I learned from grade 12 and try to bring back all the grade 8 information back. That's easy enough to do. I have faith in myself that I will definitely get a 5 on my LPI essay this time.
