I had a fun and exciting night on Friday this week. However, there were some sad moments. Hanson and I stayed in the office until approximately 8:00 (and by office, I mean at UBC, and by UBC, I mean my school). Anyhow, he seemed really busy with work and such. I just sat in his office looking through the pictures he took from China.
We left his office by 8:00 and went to eat 'nammer noodles. Afterwards, we went to the airport to see Harold (Hanson's cousin) and his family because they were all moving to Toronto. It was a very sad sight indeed. From what Hanson mentioned, Harold is in grade 7 going into grade 8 next year. To me, it seemed like a better idea to enter a new school during elementary than in high school because of the pressure to act "cool". It's cold in Toronto right now, so I hope they're doing well.
After that, Hanson and I didn't really have any activities planned, so we decided to go to the River Rock Casino. Now as everyone (except me) would probably know... I'm not legal age to be inside a casino yet in Canada. I don't have a driver's license, so therefore, no ID. But I managed to to get in. The real deal is *not to make eye contact with the guard*. The funny part was that when we got in, Hanson told me to zip up. I looked down, and didn't even realize that I was wearing my DSS Grad sweatshirt that said "Grad 05" on it! Hanson kept on asking where that cashiers were, and that got my kind of scared because I actually thought he wanted to gamble. I kept on pulling him back and told him not to go. Eventually I just gave up because it was very tiring. It ended up that he didn't want to gamble, he just wanted to know where to get free decks of cards...
So yep, I never got caught, and even got a free deck of cards as a momento/souvineer of my law breaking moment.
