So last month, I got a new cell phone! I've been looking into getting a new cell phone since last summer and I finally got one.
I probably didn't tell anyone, but last October or so I purchased an LG chocolate on eBay and got ripped off for it. The guy who sold it to me advertised it as new. When I recieved the product it had scratches all over it and cell phone numbers already stored in there. My mom was really surprised since the guy who sold it to us had over 800 100%-feebacks. Also, after trying it out for a couple of days, I found that there are many limitations (e.g. I couldn't change the ringtones for alarm and SMS and these are features that are very important to me). So, my mom contacted him and he agreed to give us a refund. I got dinged a bit by the exchange rate at the time since the Canadian dollar was rising up so quickly and the phone was bought in US dollar.
Anyway, you thought that would have scared me off from buying on eBay again right? Well, I guess it did for a bit. About a month ago, I bought another cell phone on eBay - the Nokia N95! This one's a keeper! I absolutely love this phone! I was considering the iPhone for a while, but then I eventually said no, because it was so bulky. Some people think that the N95 is even bulkier, but hey - it's a sliding phone AND it's stylish. It might be thicker, but the iPhone is bigger in width and length. Overall, I believe that there are lots of features on the N95 that can kick iPhone's ass (I think this line will one day cost me a job at Apple).
- First of all, it has a 5 megapixel camera. It's as good as any camera that's being released these days! The unfortunate part about it is that it doesn't have an optical zoom. However, even when I take a picture using the zoom, it's still quite clear (obviously, depending on how close you zoom). The iPhone only has a 2MP camera! It can also take video too. I think the iPhone does not have that feature quite yet, but I think once the firmware has been updated, it should be able to as well.
- It has Wi-Fi. Ok, fine the iPhone has Wi-Fi too. And well, it's just as good, I guess. The keyboard on the N95 uses the number pad to type in letters, so I guess it's a bit more difficult. However, the iPhone is not that much better since I seem to always be hitting the key beside the letter I acually want when I type on the QWERTY keyboard. The predictive text on both phones are very helpful.
- It has GPS! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the iPhone has GPS. It does have Google Maps, but so can the N95! You just have to go install it from Google.com, and it's as easy as clicking a button (literally)!
- Other cool features includes radio! I've noticed that since I started working last year, I have been listening more to the radio than to MP3. The radio feature really does come in handy (for me anyways).
All these features combined together was enough to win me over when I am torn between buying the iPhone or the Nokia N95. For Nokia N95 prospective buyers who are planning on buying it from eBay, be VERY careful! There are a lot of fakes out there. Make sure that they state that the phone is MADE IN FINLAND, and that it includes WIFI as well as GPS. Honest sellers will tell you that they do/n't make sure you read the descriptions really carefully. Also, it's automatically a fake when they say that it has a touchscreen because Nokia N95 DOES NOT have a touchscreen feature.
This is all information that has been researched by me - aren't you proud that I know so much about cell phones now? Nokia should hire me after this great review of their phone.

Apple sucks, I never consider Apple to be one of my potential employers.
Well, the biggest reason is ... I don't know how to use Mac OS ... While most CS students put Mac OS on their resume, I don't ...
