One week was just too short of time to gain back all the sleep that I had missed during this school year. Also, the fact that I haven't done anything during the week doesn't make me feel like I've played hard enough to even out how hard I've worked. Well I guess I shouldn't say that, since I did spend as much time with Hanson as I could. Well, almost. But I didn't see any of my friends over reading week though.
I actually spent some of my time reading over reading week. I don't know if that's what reading week is for OR it's to take a break from reading... I wish it was the second one. Anyway, I have CPSC 211 midterm today and I don't know whether it's actually going to be that hard because I felt like I haven't learned that much in class... However, there's another basketball game tonight. So, at least I get something to look forward to after the midterm.
My cell phone got busted over the break. This sucks! I really liked my phone... It's like my baby. Just one day, I took it out of my bag hoping to load the pictures I took recently from it, and it just... stopped working. I actually wanted to mourn over my cell phone. My grandpa thought that I'd be happy because my cell phone is now busted and my mom would get me a new. He THINKS he knows me well, but the fact is that he doesn't. He doesn't know the deep and meaningful relationship I had with my cell phone. Yeah sure, it's nice to get new stuff, but to be honest, I rather my cell phone didn't die. Rest in peace Motorola V600... rest in peace...
Anyway, I recently saw this on the CosmoGirl magazine's website. It's an internship called Project 2024. CosmoGirl will send 7 girls to New York to work at these really cool companies for 8 weeks. CosmoGirl will pay for their plane ticket to and from New York and also their stay at the NYU (New York University) dormitories. I want to apply; I really do. However, the application is March 4th, and I'm so busy between that time. So I don't think I will have time to get two people to write me a reference letter and also answer a 300 word essay question to include with the application. The application has to be sent through mail. I think that if it was through email, I'd still have a chance. I guess I'll consider applying for it next year or something. I better make a note of this just to remind myself.

I bet you could get your entry into that contest done in time! Just go to two of your old teachers for easy-peasy reference letters, and 300 words isn't that much really. What an opportunity!
my reading week starts monday yay!!!
Oh suck it up princess ;) you got like a week I get basically one class off (well i do) our so called reading break is two days and like only 5% of the people that go to KUC have classes on both days it is like worthless so dont try to complain about only getting a week :P
poor phone, it was fine until the day...............
it met you!
(oops, did I just say that out loud, shoot)
well you technically could have applied... 1st... go to Behenna and get her to write you a reference letter and ask Jeffrey to pick it up... 2nd... go to a teacher from last term with whom you had your highest mark and ask him/her to write you a letter... 3rd... write 300 words. it's not that hard... it's like 1.5 pages double spaced.... 4th.. fax it to Sarah (assuming Sarah has a fax machine and doesn't mind) and she can mail it for you... Sarah's closer to NY than you are ;) aka mailing time decreases.
Hehe, Sarah I wish I could, unfortunately they specified that at least one of them has to be a current teacher. Also, I don't know how fast anyone could whip up a reference letter in less than a couple of days because I believe that the applications must get there before March 4th.
