So I finally got my mark for my LPI, and as the title says, "I GOT A 5". For those of you who do not know what I'm talking about, the LPI is short for the Language Proficiency Index. This is an exam that UBC makes their student take. Before taking first-year english at UBC, I must get at least a 5 on the essay portion of the exam. Anyway, I PASSED!
I just came back from the AMS/UBC First Step orientation today at UBC. It was pretty cool, but too much walking. I actually met another guy in our orientation group that was also going into computer science. If I remember correctly, he said that he was from Bulgaria, but he has studied in Germany.... However, the tour that the girl gave us was more for "science" science students. She never got around to showing us the computer science part of the campus. Also, we got a free clipboard! It's so pretty.
For those of you who haven't gone to the AMS/UBC First Step orientation, GO NOW! You know, before all the pretty clipboards run out. Hahaha!

Congradulations on your LPI! I'm so jealous of your clipboard I think I'll have to take an orientation just to get my own. Not that there was any chance of this, but what if you'd gotten a 4? Would you have to take the LPI again and wait untill January? That'd stink. But like I said YOU didnt have to worry about that :P

congrats juli!!!...that guy from Bulgaria kept slowing down while we're walking so he could talk to you...but as the usual oblivious you...you didn't notice...ha..and you were scared that you were going to leave me out...um...did it occur to you we had to stay in a group:P...I guess not...
I suppose you can take wondering what you got on your LPI off your random reminders list now eh? Congrats.
