My very first own domain!!

Hi Everybody,

I'd just like to announce that my very first own domain has launched!

It's www.imsmrtpro.com I know, it's really cool isn't it?!

-- Koby, a friend of mine from my mom's office bought it for me as a birthday present! *applause*

Sadly, he's leaving UBC to work at Microsoft next month. There are a lot of people resigning from UBC lately. Averaging out to be one per month. Kinda scary and really sad. But luckily, he said that he'll still help me with homework, so that's a bonus - hehe.

Oh! And he helped host the I'M SMRT Productions website so *applause* the only flaw to it is that if you don't type in "www" in the domain, it takes you to his other website. I think it's his parent's business or something. Not too sure, but whatever. It still works.

Also, I probably won't be posting as much anymore since now summer school for English has officially started for me. It sucks. So much stuff to read. But anyway, yeah! Visit my new very first domain!!

^_^ It's *AWESOME*

From Big Boss to Slave Boy...

I'm talking about Travis Schwantje!! Nono, not the sex slave kind of slave (for those of you who are dirty-minded). Travis is working for his dad at Curb-Ease during the summer this year. My mom wanted to get the backyard done so she could have a flowerbed somewhere by the fence or something, and wanted a curb that neatly separates the grass from the dirt. So my mom called up Curb-Ease. The weird thing about it was that I didn't even tell my mom about this company after Travis told me about it but she just happened to know!

So on Saturday, Travis and his dad came to my house and slaved away. They were down on all fours and made us a pretty curb in our backyard. I woke up late... so by the time I got downstairs, they were already half done. And to be totally honest, I think they did quite a nice job. Very professional I must say.

It's nice to see Travis again and do some catching up for a couple of hours. I recall that he use to pick on me a lot in band class. On Saturday, he finally confessed that it was because I was the easiest to pick on compared to all the other people because I would actually take it personally, or so he says.

I'm staying 18 forever!!

No, that's not it. Yesterday was NOT my birthday! I do not have a birthday this year and I'm staying 18 forever! Hanson took a day off yesterday just to celebrate my (non-)birthday with me yesterday. Hanson arrived at my house at around 10:30 or so. He rang the doorbell and I didn't even hear it! I was still in bed sleeping until Jeffrey came into my room and told me that Hanson came. I jumped up from my bed not because I realized that I slept in, but because Jeffrey scared me. Hanson gave me this hand-crafted 3d paper card that me made with a personal poem written inside. So cute! And a book that teaches the basics of Flash MX. Unfortunately, I dont' think I can make much use of it.

First we went to eat Vietnamese noodles. Then we went to Metrotown. I wanted to find that photo engraving place at Metrotown and yes, we eventually found it. The prices were more expensive than the one at the night market. So I think I'm going to get it at the night market instead. After trying to find that place, we went to Home Outfitters because Hanson had to get a Father's Day Gift for his dad. He was thinking of getting him a Crepe maker. Later, when we were playing around with ice cream scoops, it hit us that Mondo Gelato gives out free ice cream on people's birthdays! And of course, being as Chinese as we are, we're not going to miss out THAT chance!

But before we went to get ice cream, we went to eat dinner first. We went back to Hanson's house and he made me a candle light dinner with Campbell's Chunky Soup! I Love Chunky Soup!! It was soooo romantic! And of course. After dinner, we went to grab our free icecream!! Next year's goal would be to go around to ALL of the other Mondo Gelato places in Vancouver and getting as many ice cream scoops as possible!

So after eating our free ice cream, we went to watch a movie (Disney's Cars) at Silver City. At the door of the theatre, I bumped into Ryan Coleman. And then at the box office I saw Kellie! Wow, what a birthday; I'm seeing everybody today! The movie, Cars, was really good I must say. It's one of those traditional Happy endings by Disney as always, but it was great!! A very touch story.

So that's my (non-)birthday.

GirlSmarts Workshop 2006

It's year 2006 right? For some reason, I thought it was 2007 for a second there. For the last two Saturdays, I've volunteered at this workshop called GirlSmarts Workshop for grade 7 girls. It was quite fun I must admit. The workshop was meant to inspire more girls into computer science. So to do that, we have them build lego robots and then write a program to make them do stuff! The girls looked like they had a lot of fun. And I even made my own lego catepillar!

For the first week, there were only two volunteers including me. By the second week, there were 4 volunteers! Allison, Alicia, Anna and moi! Whoa, I just notice that they all started with A's. But yeah. I have pictures from the second workshop that I will upload into my photo album to remind us all of the good times.
